I’m so happy to have a new poem, “Minutes,” in the most recent issue of Birmingham Poetry Review. As the title indicates, this poem is inspired by the “received form” of departmental minutes. For many years, I was tasked with keeping minutes, a chore that I never imagined would eventually result in an actual poem.

Who would have thought that even the most joyless of tasks can sometimes repay us in lovely ways. Many thanks to Adam Vines (a terrific poet, the editor of BPR, and a man with excellent taste in bourbon), for publishing this poem!
