New Poem in Copper Nickel!
Today, I received my contributor’s copies of one of my very favorite literary journals, Copper Nickel, which operates out of the University of Colorado Denver; one of my poems appears in the current issue. “A War Is Forever” is a companion piece to a poem that recently appeared in The New England Review, “What Do You Give the War that Has Everything.” Both pieces come from my manuscript in progress, Civilians. “A War Is Forever” is a play on the famous advertising campaign, “A Diamond Is Forever,” and is a meditation on how often we treat war as an aesthetic experience.
