I’m really excited to be teaching a one-day workshop on ekphrasis in creative nonfiction with Gemini Ink on Saturday, October 10. Here’s a little description of the three-hour class:

Sharpen your powers of observation through ekphrasis! Through guided writing exercises, we’ll write about our art discoveries while engaging the five senses and using concrete, specific details, then weave description, research, and personal experience into an ekphrastic personal essay.
