And, all of a sudden, The Wounded Line: A Guide to Writing Poetry is finally here! It’s hard for me to believe–after all the drafts, after all the efforts to secure permissions, after the indexing and the works cited pages, after the proofing and re-proofing–this book (which has been lodged in my brain for nearly to decades) now exists in the world.

As a way of promoting The Wounded Line, I’ll be holding a series of free online workshops to give poets a little taste of the book. These workshops will introduce participants to the book’s best practices, some of its essential concepts, as well as an overview of the more than 20 strategies that I explore as useful approaches for engaging with trauma on the page.
